Christmas Art

This year I followed my own suggestions, and will give some art for Christmas.  It will be a gift to hear back how much the art will be appreciated.  I am also reminded, I had better get to the easel and practice "prolificery" in creating - yes, I know, that is a new word.

One year, long ago, my sister and my niece and nephew came and stayed with me in Iowa for a lengthy time and through Christmas.  We had so little money, but we had so much fun.  We made homemade gifts for Christmas, many decorated cookies and breads, as well as handmade gifts for family.  It was one of the best Christmases we ever had.  The best gift was that our love expanded for one another, so much.

Here is wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and Holiday Season -

Green Tips:  Remember to recycle - don't forget the Creation - feed the little birds outside, if you use a live tree, plant another! Or two!  I remember how my parents used to have us carefully put away the used wrapping paper and ribbons for another year.  We cut up the Christmas cards and made package tags for the coming year.  Even that was fun.

Welcome to my new blog.  So much has been happening lately I decided it is time to keep everyone following the evolution of Diana Kaye updated.

The last Gallery Night of the Season is over.  We are now concentrating on the "New Blues" - i.e., new member's show, Christmas, and planning for various projects.

At home, in the studio, I am planning for a winter of creation.  I hope to slow down other activities and produce art in charcoal, oil, and acrylic.

The source file in my computer has many images  It is hard to decide where to start.

Green Art Tip:  Stay "green" with your art.  I have converted to using old styrofoam egg cartons for a palette - recycling these keeps them out of the landfill.
How long does it take styrofoam to decompose?
1 + million years.!!!!!!!

Wake up and Change your World - a message that is repeated to me over and over.  I love to paint subjects from creation  I believe art can be both a social, environmental, and spiritual statement for change.
